Honorable Carlos F. Lucero has taken senior status effective February 1, 2021. He received his commission on June 30, 1995.
Judge Lucero resides in Denver, Colorado. He is a graduate of George Washington University Law School. He clerked for Judge William E. Doyle, United States District Court for the District of Colorado, during the 1964-1965 term. Prior to his clerkship, he was a staff aide for the United States Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Administrative Practice and Procedure. Afterwards entered private practice in Alamosa, Colorado where he specialized in civil litigation. He served as president of the Colorado Bar Association in 1977-1978.
Judge Lucero will continue to hear cases as a Senior Judge.
